The 2025 “Paint the View” was once again a highlight for the year, I love having a small group of artist on the deck painting this outstanding view, Davinia instructions and technique and personality made it such a fun night even my farmer sister created a great piece to take home with her. A self taught artist here, I discovered oils at the age of 14 from then I discovered many mediums and started experimenting. Over the years I love to use watercolour, pencil, charcoal, acrylics to Oils. Q: As the 2025 Nature Festival X Coorong.Life Artist In Residency - How did find the “paint the view” event?
A: Was such an amazing experience to be fully immersed in nature and just be. To fully explore & create as much or as little as I desired and to inspire others in such a gorgeous setting at the paint & view event was such a wonderful experience.
Q: How did your time here help your practice
A: Being at the Coorong.life helped me explore ideas, techniques and put them down with no interruptions. I felt it helped me move faster through exploration which I was able to then put into practice straight away when I got home.
Q: Did you like the guest interaction and how did you feel having a week to just be and create?
A: Absolutely loved the guest interaction! Lots of chats, laughs and just a creative good time. Truly was such an amazing experience the whole week came at such a wonderful time, I would definitely do this again if I ever got the chance

A: Go for it! Try the things! Explore, experiment! But most of all take the time out for you
