Accessibility

Everyone is welcome. Coorong.Life is a nature retreat in a natural landscape — and we want everyone who would like to experience it to feel welcome here. We don’t want to make assumptions about what someone can or can’t do. If you’d like to come, we’d love to have you.

Because we are on a natural, largely undeveloped site, however, Coorong.Life has not been specifically designed or fitted out as an accessible accommodation facility. We want to be upfront about the landscape and facilities so you can decide what will work best for you.

Getting Around

KipPod I is accessed via stairs with no railing leading down to the pod. (Photo)

KipPod II is accessed via a short dirt path from the main area.

The landscape itself is part of the Coorong.Life experience, so paths are not all sealed or level.

Art Residency Apartment

The Art Residency accommodation is located within the main house and is generally easier to access than the KipPods. However, it has not been specifically modified or fitted out to meet accessible accommodation standards, so we recommend getting in touch if you have particular accessibility requirements. For example both bathrooms have steps into them.

Facilities

Our bathroom and kitchen facilities are shared and have not been purpose-built for accessibility. Both bathrooms have steps into them.

We don’t currently have features such as purpose-built accessible bathrooms, grab rails, hoists or other specialist accessibility equipment. Please contact us for more infomation if needed - happy to send photos etc
